What will the fulfillment of Georgia’s European ambitions mean for the Georgian economy

Christiansborg, Fællessalen
28/02/2024 13.00-17.00

Watch Nino Evgenidze, Executive Director of the Economic Policy Research Centre, present at the Danish Parliament on February 28, 2024.

In her talk, 'What will the fulfillment of Georgia’s European ambitions mean for the Georgian economy,' she explores the economic potentials of EU membership and the concrete improvements already seen with candidate status. However, she also warns about the severe threats to civil society and EU aspirations if the foreign agents law were to pass—a law that, regrettably, has been passed since her presentation.

This conference, 'Georgia on the Path to the European Union: Challenges and Opportunities,' was organized by the Danish Helsinki Committee for Human Rights
